Vodafone Retentions
Sorry if this has been asked before. I have a Three contract as my main phone and so far found retention deals favourable.
I also got lumbered with a Vodafone contract because I was let down by someone. Both are up for renewal this year. What are Vodafone retentions like? I'm thinking about Blackberry because of the QWERTY, but Three don't do them. Would Vodafone give me a good deal after 18 months, paying £25 pm? Good phone, minutes, texts etc. Will they contact me to talk about retention? |

Don't bet on it. The cheeky buggers offered me a 'deal' that was more expensive than if I just signed up as a new customer. When I pointed it out, they said that they could match the advertised offer. I flipping well expected them to! Doesn't really make you feel like negotiating with them when they pull stunts like that. I actually called three different times in the hope that maybe I just got someone having an off day.
Unfortunately for them, our whole family's on Vodafone and one by one as each expires, I'll make sure that we all switch to anyone but Vodafone. (I handle all the mobile stuff in my family) There's loyalty for you. |

Hi there,
You can check what upgrade deals are available on Vodafone website. By clicking here you will be forwarded to the relevant section. Simply enter a few details like your Mobile number and your name and you can see what deals are available. A recommendation will also be made for what price plan is best suited to your current use. Other then that our rentention department would be happy to help, just give them a quick call on 08700 700 191 or 191 from your mobile Hope you find the right deal for you Tekgirl Vodafone UK |

well I am on £20 a month with them and got a sony ericsson w960i from them the reps told me it be £200 quid to upgrade So i phoned cancellation and asked when my contract was up.
Got asked why i was intrested and said that voda wanted me to pay £200 quid for a phone that you could get £300 on pay as you go. got it in the end for £60 but if i was on a high contract or went for 24 months i would of got it free. You just need to go to cancellation to get the best deals...and depending on what you want you can get half price deals etc from them. |

Similar story here for me...
I have been a Vodafone customer for donkeys years on a £25 per month contract and my previous 18 month contract had expired about a year a go. I have been waiting to get the SE W960i so I called Vodafone sales and was told it would cost me £200 on an £18 month contract. I said I could get the W960i for free on another network so I was put through to retentions and after some haggling on cost and refusing to accept a 24 month contract I managed to get the W960i at a cost of £20 (twenty) and still on £25 per month with an 18 month contract. Doubtless others will have done better but I was happy with the deal. I have found the W960i is a real hand-full so I have started a couple of blogs if you are interested. http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/blog.php?u=46607 http://myw960i.blogspot.com/ |
