Your image of what homosexual men are like isn't very informed - Lilly Savage is a straight man who dresses up as a woman for a job. The nearest comparison would be a transvestite, and even that would be a tenuous link. In any case, whether he's gay, transsexual or Venutian makes no difference to me, nor should it even be an issue when assessing him as a housemate.

It seems from this biography that several of the forum members above are right - Paul O' Grady is indeed gay. It doesn't detract from what I was saying originally, though, that the initial post above contained some pretty unrealistic generalisations of what gay men are like.

Very difficult to tell.I'd nearly describe him as asexual rather than straight or gay.He certainly appears to have had no experience with women whatsoever (and presumably not with men either).I'm not entirely sure what he is,but I don't see much evidence of he being a sexually repressed guy who has been longing to get women into bed but is simply too shy to do so.I'm not sure what he is to be honest

I wrote about stereotyping on the forum recently. When I was talking about the impression people once had of homosexuals, and the way certain stereotypes reinforced those false impressions, regina's attitudes were the sort of thing I was talking about.

I hope anyone who's been making 'humourous' jibes at Tania and Lisa supposedly being transsexual will now realise their error. Stereotypes aren't witty, they are in fact an extremely insideous form of discrimination. They are worse than out and out discrimination because they encourage people who would usually have liberal views to discriminate against minorities on the grounds that it's 'only a bit of fun'.

(possibly the confusion was a memory of Duncan Norvelle rather than Lily? Duncan Norvelle was the uber-camp "Chase me!" comedian from the 80s, and he was in fact married and straight.)

It would not surprise me to discover in the future that Cameron was gay. The case for is quite strong with lots of circumstantial evidence.

Some of his behaviour reminds me a lot of my own before I "came out".
