Originally posted by Bill Clinton I think this is partly down to BMG - the guys behind the Hits series - being a bunch of mardy, uncooperative bastards. As you may now, the Hits series tends to come out about a week before the Now series, and is 'one higher' (ie. Hits 56 will be out on Monday). They seem to outbid/put the blockers on the Now series having certain artists' work, including Christina Aguilera, Mis-teeq (not appeared on a Now since Now 50) and Big Brovaz. There are some startling omissions there, it's a little bit disappointing to say the least. Where is? Love Inc - Broken Bones Chirstina Aguilera - Fighter Mis Teeq - Scandalous Big Brovaz - Favourite Things I expected at least some or most of these to be on the next NOW. [/b] I don't think the line up for Now 55 looks that bad at all. I'll definitely be buying it. |

I'll still be buying it, I just wish it still was as good a compilation as it was in the 80's & 90's.

I would buy the Now! series but I find that even though about half the songs are quite recent the other half are either old or absolute shite!

CD 1 only has 3 tolerable tracks -
15 19 21 Otherwise, the best home for this CD is the microwave or oven... watch the pretty effects as the CD melts

Some of the songs missing from Now 55 (such as Broken Bones, Favourite Things etc) can be found on Hits 56.

Well I saw Hits 56 today, it's out a week earlier and it's tracklisting is better overall. But it's pretty pathetic that they have to have it one number ahead of the NOW series when it hasn't even been going long, and it doesn't feel as professional as the Now series.
But saying that ,maybe it's time they rejuvenated the Now series a little bit, looking at the cover design of Now 55 it's looks like exactly the same style they've used for the past 30 editions. |
