It's become obvious that the producers of BB want Cameron to win, which can be seen with the favourable editing he has received and with the endless promotion of him on the highlights, and BBLB, as well as during the eviction interviews.
So now that the final is in sight, how are BB dealing with Cameron's opposition?
Coverage of the highlights and BBLB, Radio1/BB Aled and Graham Norton have made it apparent that this week, that the producers of BB want Steph to go.
Is it a just way to increase extra voting when it seems like the public dislike Lisa the most?
Or is it a way to increase Cameron's fanbase? They know that if Steph goes this week, Cameron stands to gain the most, because Steph's supporters would then switch to support her ally, Cameron. This tactic on behalf of the producers worked last year when Spencer fans switched to support Kate in the final.
So what will happen with next weeks evictions? The nominees are likely to be Cameron and Nush. I've noticed over the last couple of days that BB has already started working on Nush's reputation. They have downplayed and dismissed the attraction between Nush and Scott, and considering how much horseplay has happened between those two, a very small fraction of it has made it to the highlights. Any emphasis on these two would bolster Scotts chances of gaining ground on Cameron and wining BB4. Now, I genuinely believe that there is a physical attraction between Nush and Scott. However, the emphasis on editing seems to have been dismiss it all as deviousness and as a premeditated gameplan. I feel by taking this direct attitude and damage limitaion, BB is deliberately influencing the publics point of view.
If the editing continues in this way, then Nush will stand no chance of beating Cameron to survive next weeks eviction. If Nush then goes, will the editing switch to focus on Scott in a negative way? If so, in the final, Scott will have no chance of coming ahead of Cameron.
It will be interesting to see how events of last night between Nush and Scott are depicted on the highlights. Why is BB taking such a negative view of Nush and Scott when last year they were so complicit in promoting the fake romance between Kate and Spencer that was nothing more than an alliance between the two and attention seeking?
I think BB wants the final 4 to be Lisa, Ray, Scott and Cameron, of which there are only three contenders to win.
It will be interesting to predict the editing slant in the final week.
