Pre-Tour Media Publicity
Thought it might be a good idea to have a separate thread for all pre-tour media publicity. So far Belfast and Manchester media articles about the tour (both concentrating on Rhydian, who will be performing 3 songs). Interesting articles and good promotion for the tour with links to buy tickets for the venues.

Interesting articles Olga. Interesting in that Rhydian was chosen as the focus in both an English and an Irish paper. Naturally that will be the case in Welsh local papers as well. Just the Scottish papers left now. I wonder who their focus will be on ?

I thought Rhydian would have been doing at least four songs, not three.

Yes, me too........although Andy Williams only guessed that Leon would be performing 5 songs..........my guess is he will only be doing one more than the runner-up - so 4 from Leon maybe. |

When you consider that this is going to be a really long tour for them, I doubt if they will sing too many songs.

![]() The MEN and BT look like a syndicated interview, but the BT interview is talking about Rhyds B'day as they can link that to Valentines and of course the 'story' of Rhyds new girlfriend. |

OlgaChristie is a Rhydian fan so obviously she's going to go with the articles focusing on Rhydian. Olga wasn't always so keen on Rhydian though, was she? I remember reading a post near the beginning of the Rhydian appreciation thread that said she wasn't keen on him.
This is an open thread so anyone can post whatever link they like, if you've got an article on Leon and the tour, post away.

Olga's allowed to change her opinion isn't she? I'd also be saying the same if she was a fan of Leon or any of the other contestants. I've changed my opinion on people over the years - I hope I'm allowed to. |

I'd imagine that Leon may feature when the shows hit town, at the moment Leon is busy doing other things like initial work on his album, but once on tour he'll have time for the press interviews.
The MEN and BT look like a syndicated interview, but the BT interview is talking about Rhyds B'day as they can link that to Valentines and of course the 'story' of Rhyds new girlfriend. I would imagine the articles on Rhyd would have been based on telephone interviews. I'm sure Sweden has a very good telecommunications network and a telephone interview is not going to take too long out of his day. It would be nice for Leon's fans to have SOME info, surely?

![]() Don't forget Rhydian got most of the focus in the newspapers during the X Factor shows but it still didn't help him win!

I think they have had a bit of a blog from him and he has been in a couple of teen mags, but as far as I know nothing in the national press (apart from Scottish papers)

Leon has been in the Sun newspaper - when he visited Dubai.
The Scottish Sun, I believe. But if it mentions the tour, post it up, Marta!

I'd also be saying the same if she was a fan of Leon or any of the other contestants.
