Hi there
My Panasonic will not switch to the scart input of my TV when comming out of standby.
I have to switch the scart to the EX 85 with the TV remote control.
Also when comming out of the menu the EX 85 drops off the scart input to the TV. Again I have to use the TV remote to switch the scart to the EX 85.

Is this normal, or should the EX 85 switch the scart when comming out of standby.??

Go into Functions / To Other / Setup / Connections and change the output of AV1 from RGB2 to RGB1.

And, by the way, what is the advantage to having the default setting RGB2 rather than RGB1?

I'm not sure there is an advantage to it... or why Panasonic choose to default it to that setting.
I would have though a better default would be RGB1... more in line with users expectations.

In RGB 1, the control signal that grabs the TV scart is present all the time the unit is switched on.
In RGB2 it is only present for menus etc.

Most users seem to prefer, and expect the behaviour that RGB2 provides.

Got the machine back this weekend. Do'es what" GAVTECH" says. All is ok now. Many thanks for peps that took the time to reply. Im deeply in dept.
