Mugged of my phone, and no insurance..advice!
Hey last friday i got mugged of my Tmobile MDA vario 2, unfortunately i have no insurance....
I rang tmobile and they were crap, they said because i had upgraded (from a vario1) 6 months ago, i couldnt upgrade, or even get a discount. Im now tied into a 35 quid a month contract for the next 13 months with no phone. Does anyone know if there is anything i can do in terms of reducing my contract/fighting for a better deal??? And yes, yes i know i was STUPID for not being insured........ |

Not really. All you can do it cut your losses for now, buy a cheap pay as you go handset, and slip your sim into it. Or you might find cheap second-hand handsets on ebay or somewhere? Then wait for the upgrade.
I don't know about T-Mobile, but most companies will allow you to change your monthly contract after 6 or 9 months, so you re-jig it if, say, you can no longer use data. Most will also let you upgrade 'early' at 12 months, if you're lucky. Though, of course, you'll be unable to leave. But at least you'll get a new phone. |

I have the N95, which is simply the best web/email phone I've ever used. They seem to be going for under £200 on ebay if you're lucky.
Ask around though, I'm sure there's other opinions of the best phone - I think there's a similar question asked a few threads down. Finally, though. Have you checked your house insurance? Some cover items when you're out of the house. |
