My wife told me how appetising the Steak, Guinness and Cheese Pie demonstrated on yesterday's Jamie At Home programme looked. Anyway, I started googling for the recipe and what I found strongly suggests that it is intended that details of the recipe will not be made available.

I remember once something similar with a Gary Rhodes recipe. When I emailed the BBC asking where I could find the recipe I was told that, because of copyright issues (translation - he was going to use it in a future book), the recipe would not be made available.

Personally, I feel that this is a pretty sneaky practice. If these celebrity chefs are prepared to increase their income by broadcasting recipes, then not making them available subsequently really does amount to sharp practice and shows what they really think of their viewers.

By the way, if anyone wants the above recipe, a version obtained from a recording of the programme is available on the Epicurious site. Also, the programme will be repeated at 6:55 PM on More4 and 7:55 on More4+1 this Sunday. Make sure that you have your recorder switched on!

Oh, and if I'm completely wrong and there is an official version on the Internet, please let me know.

I was looking for the same recipe today but could only find the one on the Epicurious site.
People asked for it on a forum and were told they weren't allowed to publish the recipe but go and buy the book!

If you log onto the Ch 4 website & dowmload their special player for free you can watch many ch 4 programmes on there.

I did this a few months ago, like you for a recipe seen on Jamie at home & found it.

I would have checked it out for you but I reformatted my PC & no longer need the player as we have BT vision now,
