Rhydian on the Jonathan Davies Show
Rhydian was on last night's Jonathan Davies chat show which focuses mainly on rugby. It was good fun. A few clips are on you tube
Clip 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zmiuwe26_2I Clip 2 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP_EmJTcioE Clip 3 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ei3Sgddi2sw There was a lot more on the show and all very funny. I really enjoyed it. |

The things I do for Rhydian. Last night was genuinely the first time I've ever watched a Welsh language entertainment show with subtitles, lol. Having said that, I thought the show was great and I've actually put it on series link to have a butchers next week. And that's the first time I've seen him sing 'proper' opera. Fascinating...

I thought the team around Jonathan worked well together. Rhyd looked a bit overawed by being alongside his heroes. Imagine sitting next to Gareth Edwards and being asked questions by Jonathan! He did great with the rugby challenge and was thrilled to beat Gareth's total. ![]() It was sweet that the audience clapped because they were happy that Rhyd had a girlfriend. Bless. I will tune in next week too! It was a good show. I loved how they kept going back to Jonathan's home vilalge. He had the p taken out of him big time. |

I was so gratified at the fact that the Rugby and Rhydians skills within that game were also discussed.

And it must have been quite surreal for Rhydian to be talking about his rugby skills with top international players, who seemed to take him seriously as a player, when he himself had never managed to get past school level because of a recurrent injury. |

I really enjoyed watching the show - my flatmate managed to get the channel on the TV after much button pressing!
It was a treat to hear Rhydian speak Welsh - he did seem slightly uncomfortable though as he kept his hand in front of his mouth whilst he was speaking. I am glad he got to talk about the editing on the X factor - he was very candid about it - saying in not so many words that he had to do what it took to get along in the show. I really admire that about him. |

Does anyone know what Rhydian said about Leon in there, after the comment that he would love to work with Michael Bublé? The version I saw seemed to have no subtitles at that part.

No they didn't translate that bit. There was speculation that he had said something like that's more for Leon or better for Leon, but I think we really need to get a fluent Welsh speaker to confirm that.
Any offers? |

No, fraid not, there were no subtitles for that bit, maybe you will to watch it again with the Welsh to English dictionary to hand, Zip? I surprised myself watching a Welsh language with subtitles and I'm a massive Rhydian fan, why non-fans would be interested enough to sit through it boggles my mind. (My posts are smilie-free zones from now on) |

(My posts are smilie-free zones from now on) ![]() ![]() I have said this several times....being a fan of Leon or anyone else does not mean that every other contestant becomes 'no go'. I've watched interviews by Niki and I was delighted to chat to Andy last week when he was on DS. I really hope that clears that up for you. Anyway, of course I'm going to watch Rhydian....I'm finding him more hilarious as each day passes. You never know what he'll say next. Still very interested in what Rhyd said about Leon - if any of you kind Welsh speakers would care to interpret, I'd be very grateful. Thanks folks. |

Rhydian will be surprised to hear that his Welsh TV appearance and all his other press articles are the cause of such hilarity. You shouldn't forget though, he was not the one to start the Phantom rumours, it was the X Factor producers at a time when he was concentrating on the live shows. He is always asked about it and has never claimed to have the part - as he said again today which has again generated intense discussion and predictions of his downfall. I don't understand it.

I really dont get why people who arent fans of Rhyd would want to watch a welsh language programme. I'd never want to watch Leon on any show. Leon fans seem fascinated by Rhyd.

As long as you also contribute to Rhydian's positive threads and praise him or comment on his mainly positive press where there is nothing to criticise such as, for example, the wonderful Times article, then I can believe your claim ZipGypsy that you are only driven by a benevolent and well-meaning interest in everyone connected with the x factor

With respect, I'll contribute to what I wish and with the content that I choose. And again with respect, I have no personal interest in what you make of my intentions or what you believe about me.

People can post where they want, I have never said they shouldn't, it is an open forum - I am merely questioning the intentions behind it.

I saw that bit, when Rhydian talked about Leon but you're right I wonder why no subtitles came up for that part

It is a bit odd. As far as I know it's the only bit of the show which isn't given subtitles? It's probably nothing, but it seems odd, and I think it's natural that any Leon fan should be interested to know what was said, tbh.
