Ticketmaster/See Tickets etc
Hello,
Here's the story: I'm trying to get seated tickets fo the Matchbox 20 gig in Birmingham. I want to get good seats, not the best but good would would be enough. I had a presale password from LiveNation so I went through them originally. The best tickets they had were block 5 which is at the very back. The next day I tried ringing ticketmaster, the best seats they had were block 5 also. So I tried SeeTickets who were also only selling block 5/6 tickets. My question.....will they have actually released anymore seated tickets? It seems strange that they all only have tickets for the same block. Also, if so, when can I get them? I can't believe they've sold them all! Thanks! |

I'm sure both ticket agancies are either scamming or crap - I've bought 4 sets of tickets for different artists from them - all at the Hammersmith Apollo.
Each time I've gone online at the second that sales start and ended up with tickets in exactly the same row - T! |

Have you tried going through the venue's ticketing system? Or are the tickets all sold now?
I went on the NIA website & it turns out that the gig will be only half the size than a normal one, looks as though they're sectioning it off & starting at block 4. So as it turns out block 5 isn't that bad.Why couldn't Ticketmaster give this info instead of me worring about getting tickets ![]() Cheers for the help!! |

Certain agencies have only a limited number of tickets for a gig, (known as 'allocation venues'). I know that at Ticketmaster the NIA is an allocation venue. What happens is the agencies approach the venues and offer to sell so many tickets on their behalf. These are limited to certain blocks (by the venues) and the number of tickets could be as low as 10. So the agency may only have Block 5 to sell or that was all that was left of their allocation when you tried to buy tickets.
Other venues, MEN Arena for example, are known as 'full system venues' and all agencies have access to all seats, as well as the in-house box office, so there it's just a matter of first come, first served for the best seats available. And if you tried to book online, it's always worth checking the seating plan as they change depending on the artist. |
