This morning, our phone is dead when you press the call button and a dial tone is normally heard. When you ring the number it rings at the end you are calling from but you cant answer it. Have checked all cables about 5 times now and nothing.
I would suggest trying the phone in an extension socket to see if it works. if it doesn't work, it's probably the phone itself has died.
Borrow a phone from someone (neighbor or friend) and try it to see if it works before you go out and buy a new one. If the borrowed phone doesn't work, you need to call BT (from your mobile) and log a fault with them.
