Well done Jon!! Congratulations young man!!

"Tenormorphosis! Blond-haired, clean-shaven, 12st boy-band singer Jonathan Ansell is transformed into Pavarotti"

What a job in transforming Jon! Check out the pics from the link!! Shame it's in Las Vegas...I would have liked to see Jon do this. But, I guess, when the US calls, it calls!!

At a time when the world is mourning Pavarotti, it is a great thing to see a tribute such as Jon will give. Go Jon.

Yes, indeed...I think it's lovely too. Good luck to him!

If the show is a success I hope it might come to the UK, maybe? One can only hope...

OMG cannot believe the transformation.

Well done Jonathan - he definitely has the voice to play Pavarotti and now he has the has the looks (well, after a few hours in make-up and a fat suit).

Bet he'll be brill, I'd love to see it too.

Those transformation photos are quite funny. It doesn't say when or where it's being staged yet. I'd be interested to see it. We quite often go on a holiday to Vegas in the Autumn, so it it's on when we get there, I'll check it out.

This is just a brilliant opportunity for him. He has been linked to musical threatre via rumour previously - Les Mis. But this takes him to the states & also it is using his classical voice. Interesting to find out how they are going to change him during the show. Initially his build is absolutely right for the young Pavorotti who was a fit good looking guy. So good to see that it is with a full orchestra.

It's a wonderful opportunity for Jonathan. I'm so pleased for him - he must be over the moon to get the chance to play his idol and hero!

And in Las Vegas - such great news.

I cant wait to hear more details of how the show is going to pan out.

Amazingly good looking wasn't he as a young guy. I think this is going to be interesting as most people just know him in his later years. I don't know his full life story only that he had a 'history' with the ladies. You can see why can't you

Compare with this pic and it does not take much more than a little hair dye

JA in ClassicFM Mag

and a little bit on Pavarotti from Wikipedia

Although there are lots of rumours about the ladies in his life or were they his secretaries

Of the 20 songs most associated with Pavarotti

Jonathan has already mastered, recorded and released 4 with G4
# "Nessun Dorma"
# "'O Sole Mio"
# "La Donna è Mobile"
# "Volare"

and 1 on his new album
"Che Gelida Manina"

Looking at this list if that is the basis for this show then it may not prove to be too strenuous for the voice but it is pushing it.

At one of the last G4 gigs in Dublin the crew played a joke on him and he sang the words of the Ice Cream song to O Sole Mio - unrehearsed of course ...

Oh wow! Looking at that list of 20 songs most associated with Pav.

The first 4 done by G4 are huge favourites of mine

Nessun Dorma
O Sole Mio
La Donna e mobile
Volare

and these on that list - would be fabulous to hear Jon sing:

Panis Angelicus,
Ave Maria
Santa Lucia
E Lucevan le stelle
Granada
Funiculi Funicula

And Che Gelida Manina is sounding wonderful on the new album.

Fingers crossed after the show Jon brings out an album of some of these songs - it would be superb!

So at the end of the show he's transformed into Pavarotti. It reminds me of the Father Ted 3 ages of Elvis episode
