They are bloody everywhere and all the time! Or so it feels like. I know they have fans but I feel they're really being force-fed to the public at large.

Does anyone else get frustrated at the mass overexposure of these lads? I don't care how nice they are or that they sing well enough but when anyone is as overexposed as Westlife have been over the last couple of months I find it such a turn off. It's actually quite hard to avoid them right now.

Women keep buying their CDs from Tesco and ASDA so we're never going to get away from them, arrrgh!

I've never bought a Westlife CD. I'm dreading the lead up to Valentine's Day. No doubt their album will get plugged endlessly on the ads as a "perfect present" for the occassion.

I can't stand Westlife. They are so bland, they are like the beige of music.

Surely you mean the white of music. Beige at least is more unusual white is common boring meh. I do not like them either but as long as pepple keep buying their music they are not going anywhere. Can you blame them? It must the easiest money going.

I actually saw one woman with their CD in the supermarket yesterday I was itching to knock it out of her hand.

I agree

As far as I know they were on tv at new year, Dancing on Ice last week and Al Murray on Friday night, hardly a lot though is it when you think about it.

they seemed up their own arses on Al Murray - even the 'cheeky girl' seemed more relaxed...

Al's best line was somehting along the lines of "it must be great, having written the songs for" [names of old bands]. they did not seem amused that they were being mocked for bing entirely unoriginal and superficial.

take that seem genius in comparison - at least they had Robbie Williams to bolster their talent level.

Westlife? get a life!

LOL.

I'd go further than that........I don't even class it as music.

Westlife - for people with NoLife.

Totally agree. They must be the only *group* who haven't written a single number one single, yet they have had way too many many. I have no intention of checking how may they have had. Sadly it seems the people who buy this dirge are supposed to now people women who should know better.
My MIL likes them, but then she also likes Daniel O'Donnel. So there goes that theory

I hate them, but it's rather incredible that with no airplay on Radio 1, they still manage to go to Number 1. When they were number 1, I hadn't even been aware they had a single out.

I can't stand WorstLife - OK they are popular and have their fans but IMO they are very bland and have collected their No 1's in the abscence of much serious competition.

I read that they were going to be called "West Side" - a bit more suitable as it was a crappy shopping centre and Ali-G's 'hood.

That's an insult to beige, I'd say.

I cannot stand these blokes. They always look bored to tears to me - although not as bored as the audience who have to sit through yet another mimed cover track.

It is quite an incredible feat that the gravy train is limping on after all these years.

They'll be running out of cover tracks before too long.

I was flicking channels last night and came across the South Bank Show Awards, just in time to hear Melvyn Bragg say: "Here's Westlife with their latest piece of tat."

This was on the South Bank Show Awards I couldn't f***ing believe it, as Terry Tibbs might say.

I see their next single is released in time for Mother's Day. Would love to see how they'd fair if they didn't capitalise on such dates & the Xmas market. There must be so many people with unwanted Westlife cd presents.

Well I'm only 22 does that mean I'm old now!!

By the way that remark you made isn't actually true, their concerts are of mixed ages

And someone else said that Westlife were for peope with nolife.... well Im proud to say that I'm one of those people then and have been for 10 years!

Oh, I know. Just making it known I've never been a fan. Even when I was a teenager liking other boybands I never liked Westlife. I found them so boring and even back then, their looks did nothing for me.

They have to be the most annoying "band" around, cover after cover. Then again if you can earn a fortune by just miming along to old school love ballads I suppose anyone would do it at the end of the day.
