Hi

I read a while back that Orange were planning to restructure their currently crap data plans and make them more competitive

Any news on the change? I heard it was due in Feb
cheers

Orange's data pricing is a joke.... £1 per MB even to browse their lousy Orange World portal. A viewty or any other high spec handset is an utter waste on Orange.

I must correct you there, on a contract, browsing the Orange World portal is free.

Totally agree.... their Blackberry plans are just as bad.

£7.50 for 6mb a month! O2 is £10 a month for unlimited data.

Last month on O2 I used 16.7mb!! Dread to think what I'd have paid if I had still been with Orange.

I wonder if orange are looking at the wording and t&c of the o2 unlimted data, and figuring out how to make it look like they aren't copying O2

and yes RDF, i know that £1 a day was copied from orange

What is an even bigger joke is that the clowns give new 3G customers 1GB of data free for the 1st 2 months (thats what I got) then thereafter you have to pay £1024 a month for a similar usage!!! They are utterly crazy!!

Had they given 100MB free for the 1st 2 months then made it £4 a month for 100MB then that would have made sense and amounted to almost the same amount of data only they would have had some revenue.

I wonder how much money the dafties at Orange have ploughed into subsidising expensive Internet featured handsets that customers can't use because of their loony data pricing.

The 1GB Evening and Weekend data plan (which you receive free for first two months) is £5/month

That is still correct. Unlimited Off Peak Data is £5 per month if you keep it after the first 2 months.
