New user, use with satilite freeview system

Hi, this is my first post so please dont bit my head off, not just yet anyway. The freeview signal in my area is not that good and I am thinking of buying a satilite freeview system from maplins http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...C=SO&U=strat15 - not skys. This comes with a controller and provides a program viewer etc on sreen. My Panasnic is a DMR-ES20D which has freeview.
Can I still record programs with such a system as before, if not is there any easy way around to get the satilite and DVD recorder to speak to each other. Thanks in advance to any help on this matter, JOHN

Hi John

Simply plug in a scart from the TV outlet of the skybox to AV2 of your DVDR [ bottom scart]

To record , select AV2 as the input on the DVDR.

Just got a Panasonic DMREX87. Downloaded DVD programmes to guide but no BBC1 or BBC2 - live in the west coast of Scotland near Glasgow. Is this normal? How on earth would you tape a programme on BBC1 if it doesnt show on the guide? It has taken me all evening to work out how to post a question so apologies if this is not right. Many thanks Evelyn

I live in Clydebank and both stations are showing in my guide. Try reloading the channels.

If you are receiving from the Black hill transmitter - your aerial may be out of band.

You have a PM.
