You Tube on N95
Can anyone help please. I have downloaded youtube onto my N95 but I am unable to play any videos. Everything seems to be working okay but they won't actually open up. Any ideas?

I charge mine up overnight so haven't really had a problem - overall I'm very happy with the phone.

Update. I went into an 02 shop today for help with this and found out that I need to connect by wi-fi to play youtube on this phone. Shame I have cable broadband at home!

Not strictly true. The N95 8Gb with the latest firmware upgrades can play YouTube videos in the browser. The older plain N95 cannot (at the moment) play YouTube videos (aside from those on the Mobile YouTube site). You need software like emtube (http://www.emtube.yoyo.pl/). If you're on O2 you might find that using the Access Point 'O2 Mobile Web' works perfectly for streaming YouTube vids.

Well i've tried emTube, Mobitubia and the official YouTube program, (aswell as trying to watch directly on youtube.com via the new s/wares Flash Lite support) and I have to say emTube wins hands down.
Super fast loading of videos and the screen auto rotates!!!. What more can you ask for? The other methods are very slow in comparison. |
