S-Video Out on Original Box
Was it ever possible to actually output an S-Video signal from the box. Whenever I tried it before I only ever got a B&W signal. Did it ever work? Might be getting a new AV amp but it only does switching on composite, component or S-Video.

Hi,
Yes it does, once selected from the menu (999). The reson for the B/W picture is more than likely either the TV did not recognise the signal, or the cable is not the right one. I walked into the S-video mine field when setting up my media center. |

Thanks for the answer M K. You are 100% sure? If so that is fantastic news! In the past I connected via a supposedly fully wired SCART cable to an S-Video enabled SCART socket on my TV (which works with S-Video using a different cable to my DVD player) and it was B&W.

I asked one of the lead engineers, he confirmed it.
