Why are DAB recievers so expensive
When you can get a decent freeview box for under £20 why are DAB so expensive . I would never buy the portable radios that you see on sale I would prefer a simple tuner that you plug in to your Hi fi like you would a freeview box.

Then buy one then. My DAB cost the grand sum of £10 refurbished from Currys-it feeds into Aux input on my hi-fi as well, so ive got both

what about one of those little dab adapters - you can get from dixons and currys???
I was just looking into one, but it seems that they dont have an external aerial input - so in my area, a bit useless ! |

what type of aerial do you think is best? I'm looking for a new one - Im currently using a bog standard old fashioned, 2 telescopic rod in a V shape type aerial. which is in my loft.
I was thinking something along these lines http://www.screwfix.com/prods/40830/...pole-Cable-10m |

On many DAB radios you can unscrew the whip aerial and plug in an external aerial lead fitted with an F-plug.
