Upgrading firmware

Hey all,
I want to debrand my Vodafone-spammed W850i.
I've found a website that has links to loads of firmware to remove the branding, and with a bit of research, I can download the latest one and the one I need.

I was just wondering though, how do I put the firmware onto the phone? I know I can use the USB data cable, and the Da Vinci client, but you have to pay to create an account for that. Is there any other way?
