It was a very different show when Sophie was in it. I'm not sure I could imagine a modern audience believing in Ace they way the would in (for instance) Sarah.

she's not saying that in the hope RTD will get her back in is she? have to agree with what Mulett said in their post above.

Well no disrespect for Sophie, but I don't think having hosts of former companions is in RTD mind, he did it already with SJS (a companion from his era of Who). And if they were going to bring back ex-companions I would imagine Ace is pretty far down the list.

shame Janet won't agree to one last televisual outing as Tegan. PD seems to think RTD might be keen.

I saw Sophie interviewed at a convention in Wales last Autumn. She said that whilst she would be thrilled to be asked to return, she also felt that the return of Liz Sladen to new who had already bridged the gap enough between classic and new companions.
