Misc Opinions/Ramblings
...and so she says to me, she says...
I started with the 7day trial of the live feeds on wednesday, and have seen the first two eps, and unless they all become really obnoxious I will probably pay for the feeds, so from what I've seen... ALISON: like so far AMANDA: like so far, but haven't experienced enough of her to judge DANA: I like her a lot. Palin taking. Funny. DAVID: knob-end. dislike a lot. ERIKA: no opinion. haven't seen her do anything except fill a bikini JACK: seems okay. looks like a fifth wheel at times around the young 'uns. JEE: not sure. seems like a ********, and was really stupid to let them cut his hair like that. JUN: like her a lot. My fave along with Dana. JUSTIN: not sure. I respect his profession, but I doubt he has much depth. MICHELLE: the lights are on, but nobody's home. Totally useless, and only there for her (supposed) looks. NATHAN: hated him before I'd seen him in the house. The fact that he would miss The O'Reilly Factor (fox news show) marks him out as someone I would avoid in real life. And now he's head of house! Bah! ROBERT: I have nothing against him. Could be entertaining. SCOTT: as above. But it's early days yet. Which reminds me: Does anyone know what day they went into the house, and what day they're on now? BTW, It's great to see there's a dedicated forum for BBUS4

I'm sure that the US HMs entered the house on Friday 4th July and the first episode wasn't aired until Tuesday 8th... They have been in the house for 8 days now ...but the DS:BB info is one day behind. This is the same way that it will be upon broadcast on E4, a day behind... Continuity! I hope the US DS:BB forum gets well used and abused...

my comments in brackets..
ALISON: like so far (same here she seems a bit of a tom boy which is no bad thing) AMANDA: like so far, but haven't experienced enough of her to judge (ive seen very little of her over the feeds) DANA: I like her a lot. Palin taking. Funny. (i think this is a love/hate person give me another week and my mind will be made up) DAVID: knob-end. dislike a lot. (yeah he seems a very goofy guy, dont like the way he puts Michelle down) ERIKA: no opinion. haven't seen her do anything except fill a bikini (she is always playing the game and if she doesnt ease up a bit the mental strain will be overbearing) JACK: seems okay. looks like a fifth wheel at times around the young 'uns. (intergrated really well considering his age) JEE: not sure. seems like a ********, and was really stupid to let them cut his hair like that. (looks fairly laid back, gets on with most people from what ive seen) JUN: like her a lot. My fave along with Dana. (hmm primadonna) JUSTIN: not sure. I respect his profession, but I doubt he has much depth. (looks like knows what he is doing gamewise) MICHELLE: the lights are on, but nobody's home. Totally useless, and only there for her (supposed) looks. (aww leave her alone, she is easy on the eye imo) NATHAN: hated him before I'd seen him in the house. The fact that he would miss The O'Reilly Factor (fox news show) marks him out as someone I would avoid in real life. And now he's head of house! Bah! (having the girls drooling over him could make the other guys jealous and himself a target) ROBERT: I have nothing against him. Could be entertaining. (has an ally in Justin but if he ends up getting nominated i see him losing it big time) SCOTT: as above. (i dont think E4 viewers will get to see him, whoever made the Fed comparisonis spot on though) |

I think I'm not keen on him because his ex, Jun, seems so nice, and he doesn't give off good vibes IMO. Anyone who cuts their hair in the first week probably isn't coping well. I wouldn't be surprised if he was the first to go. Coljj, You're probably right about Nathan, and I think 'hate' may have been too harsh a word to describe my feelings for him. If he proves to be good entertainment for one reason or another then I'll try to ignore the fact that I don't respect him. That was me backpedaling on my earlier venom!

If it's any consolation I wouldn't p*ss on Ray, Nush, Steph, or Cameron if they were on fire. I simply remembered it's best to pace myself when it comes to BB as often the most annoying feckers stay 'til the end.

Re: Misc Opinions/Ramblings
OK, so here are my thoughts-
ALISON: I like Alison alot. However, I kind of pity her at the same time. She's so wrapped up in what her boyfriend will think of how she acts around Justin, that she doesn't realize how shameless she is around Nate. Anybody who goes in should realize that their relationship is over before they walk in. Nush, Ali. Ali, Nush. I like the fact that despite her initial protestations, she seems willing to work with Justin, rather than simply say he has to be out NOW. AMANDA: Kind of a cipher so far. As much as I like Scott, I feel sorry for Amanda, knowing he's gonna be like her lost puppy all summer. DANA: I liked her at first, but I get the feeling she feels left out not having an ex to bitch about. She's insanely attached to her alliance of 8, even though she has no real reason to go along with them, since she knows that it's already decaying from within. DAVID: A hoot AND a holler. The bottom-of-the-pool thing would be cooler if he was face-down, though. I hope he can keep his comedy fresh and avoid recycling himself. If he starts to get stale, they'll get sick of him really quick. ERIKA: I thought I'd hate her 'cause she's beautiful, but she seems pretty cool to me. I hope she figures out that the other 7 have turned on her, though, before it's too late. JACK: Finally, an old guy who isn't supposed to be the wacky neighbor! Looks suspiciously like Peter Fonda. JEE: Lamb to the frickin' slaughter. Poor guy. He and Jun deserved each other. JUN: Jun is every self-absorbed, unpleasant person I've ever met, if they were to meet at a convention for their mutual appreciation society, hook up in an umpteen-way orgy in the biggest suite at the Holiday Inn, and bitch the next morning about how drunk they were last night, but at least they got some. I feel slightly worse about Jun than Danielle felt about Roddy last year. Seriously, I don't like Jun. JUSTIN: Looks a little too much like Josh Souza. Thumbs-up to him for being the first to extend an olive branch to the other side. MICHELLE: too cute for her own good. I want to take her home and hang her up on my Christmas tree. NATHAN: If Frat boys were capable of breeding amongst themselves, Nate is what they'd yield. I second Monitor's sideways glance at Nate for being an O'Reilly fan. After the first ep, I figured I'd give him a chance, but after seeing his nomination speech, I decided I couldn't respect anyone who abuses the English language that badly. Quick tip: if you give someone a 3-minute explanation of why you're nominating them that calls their trustworthiness into question 6 days after having met, "Nothing personal" is a non-sequitir of a conclusion. ROBERT:Strikes me as a slimeball, but he gets points for being the first to point out that the first 8 to enter the house hold no moral superiority over them, by virtue of them having entered first. Now, moral superiority after having cheated on Erica, though is another matter altogether..... SCOTT: Liked him right off the bat for his "Keyser Soze" comment, but figured him for a doormat when he had his mea culpa speech with Amanda. His stock rebounded though, when he sprung to her defense. So all in all, the only HGs I really dislike are Jun and Nate, and Jun I wouldn't mind seeing stick around as a wind-up merchant. Nate is such a poseur of a leader though, he really should go soon. He's bad for the house, because everybody thinks they know where they stand with him, and he's not really smart enough to know what to do with it, the way Will Kirby or Rob Cesternino did. And unlike a certain US President that he reminds me of, there aren't smart people behind him pulling the strings. Soon, the puppet will go limp. Although it would be amusing to see Dave or Scott take the strings. Last edited by hwirtz : 13-07-2003 at 08:47. |
