You seem to be arguing that all lockups are caused by MHEG. I am pretty confident that is not the case. Hence there is a third option that something else in 1.00.21 was causing lockups. It is certainly my favoured explanation but of course I have no clue what it is. Very interested to hear what happens when you re-enable auto on.

Mine works fine, and my DVD is passed through the RF output

I would also like Series Link, Accurate Record and Padding to work (on play back Accurate Record would start when the programme was flagged to start - but you could use the rwd/swip buttons to go back when E4 cocks up again) - having extra padding at either end would allow me to see relevant adverts when I leave it playing.

As for clashes - if possible record as much as the programme as possible - if necessary using multiple slot's - I'd rather have the last 50 minutes of one showing , and the first 30 minutes of another rather than 2 seconds of one.

Also, when a recording fails having an English reason displayed when you select rather than it doing noting would be nice - "Unable to record this programme, was recording Torchwood on BBC TWO and BBC 10 O'Clock News on BBC ONE" would be suitable text.

Series (possibly) ended series link display could be improved - e.g. at the bottom of the list have a title of

"Reservations with no episode scheduled at present"

- followed by those programmes (possibly with last shown date), possibly followed by the names of programmes removed recenlty, e.g.

"Reservations where no episodes have been shown in the last 13 weeks, will NOT be recorded automatically" - clicking would search the EPG based on name.
