HT-DDW890 System (Free!!!!!)
Hello again, its skthecat here, I still have not bought the Onyko 605, but now their is a good reason (I think)
My Mother has won this item in a competition Sony HT-DDW890 System (I believe it to be Amp and Speakers (which Is 6.1m "not sure what this is") Should I take this? My Mum is going to offer it around the family and I get first refusal. Could you lot out there advise me on if I should take it (I am the only family member who is likely to use it! So basically its mine if I want it) I want to know anything about the following; Is it any good (Comparatively) say Onkyo 605/505 Etc What can and can't it do (I realise I will need a DVDR) to add to it. What are its limitations Connections wise (I know it has 2 HDMI in and 1 out) Can I successfully connect it to Std SKy and o Sky HD And can I connect a Std DVDR and or a DVDR with HDMI Upscaling. Can I connect Wii and or PS2 or PS3 Any other information will be useful. Thank-You all in anticipation of some top Banana answers. Regards; skthecat

The Sony is basically an AV amplifier with speakers included in the package. It has several audio/video connections (including HDMI) and seems to be excellent value for money, especially if you are getting it for free.
