After todays episode, she has really stood out as a fine actress in my eyes. More than i have ever seen her before.

I actually think she is much better than Freema.

I think the next time she is up for award, we should all vote for her!!

I fully agree after tonight's episode. Kai Owen was also exceptional. Really got their roles spot on.

In fact, the entire cast stepped it up big time - they all just seem so much more natural in their roles, even Naoko Mori who I thought was very wooden in the first season.

She is a good actress and conveyed a lot of emotion in tonights episode, but I did find all the clenched fist shaking a bit annoying.

Could I ask why you comparing her to Freema?

I think she should have gotten an award for the end of the last season tbh

Yes, I liked tonights episode but I too noticed the clench shaking fists coming out a bit too regularly.

Eve is a natural, charismatic actress - sometimes she just goes OTT which she really doesn't need to.

But I don't think you should compare her to Freema - both different, both good.

All the acting was brilliant tonight!
But especially John, Eve and Kai, they were spot on!

The best acting I felt she did was the last episode of series one when Rhys died

Agreed it was extremely well done, but then when she'd got him back she left him at home to sit by Jack in the morgue for what could have been weeks, I must admit I wondered about that at the time, it was a bit extreme. Yes I know it was meant so that she could 'outlast' the hope of the others that he was coming back (and be right) but it still struck me as odd, at that stage I would have thought Rhys would have taken preference.

But Rhys was fine wasn't he in the end it all changed and he hadn't died at all so he didn't need her

She's always brilliant, IMO the best actor on the show Definitely deserves an award or two for it!

I'm sorry, I mean no offence but I've just noticed and I can't help wondering if there is some hidden meaning, or delicious irony, in this thread being started by Scooby!

And the nominations for 'Best Imitation of Torched Wood' are.......

John Barrowman as Redwood
Burn Gorman as Oak
Eve Myles as Weeping Willow
Kia Owen as Birch
Naoko Mori as Bonsai

.....and the winner is, oh my its a dead heat; they are all winners.

Can we add others because I have a few people from Eastenders that could knock the others out

I didn't think she was particularly brilliant this episode , unless your comparing her to John Barrowman's godawful 'I'M VERY AKTING!' performance.

While Mori and Gorman are hardly the greatest actors known to man, I think they're better than the other three by quite some distance...

I thought the acting in 'Meat' was on par with some of the worst I've ever seen.
Eve is usually wonderful, but of late she's been going OTT with the flailing limbs and breast beating. The scenes in Meat were cringeworthy-the fight for one. A bad example of hamming it up.
And John, I'm not sure what happened to him here but his performance was terrible-the part where he first saw the creature and was supposed to be upset, he looked constipated and some of the dialogue was bad, bad, bad. (Obviously not his fault, but the delivery wasn't great either)
Even Burn at the end when he was killing the creature was pretty icky with the expressions and the air grabs. I actually watched this episode with my hand over my mouth in a "What have they done?" manner, and not about the bad guys and the meat.

I don't think they got the best from the actors on this one, but then it could have been the dodgy camerawork?

Well she already won a Welsh Bafta last year for Torchwood (but was actually given it for Everything Changes when she was much better in End Of Days).
