Hi there,
Well I moved into a brand new home 2 weeks ago. On the 12th of january I called bt to tell them about my move and get a new line connected on my new adress. They told me this would be done on the 28th of january and gave me my new number. However on the 28th nothing happened, nobody told me anything and I waited all day for someone to turn up. Then on that evening I received a text on my mobile telling me my line was now active. I checked it and obviously it did not work. I spent countless amount of time on the phone with all possible departments of bt and the only thing I have heard is that nobody knew...I got very frustrated and even got insulted by one of their very friendly staff. Then friday last week I finally spoken to someone that was helpfull, he told me to check my bt master socket, and I have told him there is no such thing in this house (brand new I repeat). Finally on monday this week someone from bt called telling me an engineer would be on location on tuesday, I told the lady that I thought this person would need to enter the property in order to fit this master socket, she answered that the engineer would give me a call. I went to work that day, expecting a call from the engineer, nothing happened and the following day I got another call from bt telling me that the engineer has installed a master socket outside the property and that from now on the builder would need to connect this to the inside wiring. I told the builder about that, still waiting for a response but my feeling is that they are not going to do it...So the question is what is likely to happen now? I am already paying 125£ for a service that has been appaling, bt tells me my line is working and I don't have a phone line because it is just not connected. I think this is a bit too much to accept and am so angry with bt...Honestly, I used to be with ntl and thought their customer service was the worst but this time bt are surpassing ntl...
