1. Can I rewind and pause live TV?

1. You can pause and rewind (up to the point at which you last changed to the channel) live TV from the buffer.

2. This one causes confusion, the device has two tuners, thus you can tune to two multiplexes. The ability to effectively 'handle' three services is difficult to measure because the viewing would have to be on the same mux as one of your recordings.

True triple tuner recorders are now more possible but the complexity just keeps on rising because if you get three tuners, the consumer will want to record three and watch one. Where will it all end!

1 : yes, as soon as you select a channel it starts to be buffered so you can press pause or use the forware and rewind key or press play to resume, you can also record from a specific point in the buffer

2 : yes as long as it`s on the same multiplex as the 2 recording channels.

have a look here

regards

John.

Actually, if the two recording channels are on the same multiplex, you can watch live any channel you like.

Bear in mind that if it is recording 2 programmes there is no buffer, so you can't pause the live TV you are watching, even if it is on a compatible mux.

This can catch you out sometimes. Eg. if you are watching a buffered programme, say with 5 minutes delay, then if a second recording starts you will be unceremoniously jumped forward 5 minutes. (If the prog you were watching is not on a compatible mux, you'll simply be dumped to the black screen + 'restricted' message.) .... hasty scrabbling for the TV remote to use that instead

Thanks everyone for the help and the warnings (Catbed), I will definitely be buying one in the next few weeks.
