Decent DVD recorder?
I need to transfer a load of VHS videos to DVD can someone recommend a decent DVD recorder please, preferable less than £100. I'm not very experienced in this but just want to link the video player to it and press play , and record on the DVD. Thanks.

Sainsbury's were offering a Philips Combo for about £99 which worked very well indeed for about six months but ran out of puff when showing dual-layer DVD's.
You only get what you pay for. Its replacement Panasonic, for about £300, is excellent so far. |

Bear in mind, if they are commercial DVD's they probably can't be copied?.

To be honest the only things generally worth copying anyway are private videos and something recorded off the TV that aren't available on DVD. Most commercial VHS offerings are now available on DVD for a reasonable price and far far better quality. |
