Is is possible wit s 9200T/B to record a program, transfer this to a PC via USB and create a DVD.

If so what are the steps and software required.

Thanks

Hi

I have a Topfield TF5800PVR which is very similar to the Humax.

With the latest version of VideoRedo TV Suite it can all be done with one piece of software to edit and create / burn a DVD. It was several stages perviously.

The main stage which will be different is the transfer stage to the PC.

Hope that helps.

Which piece of software, is it supplied with the box, free, or extra?

The software supplied with the box is for transfer to a PC; there is at least one alternative product that is free. You can play the files on the PC but you need further software to convert to the correct format and burn a DVD; there is wide choice for this software, some free, some paid for.

The software to transfer recordings from the Humax I believe is E-Linker.

Which is downloadable for free from the Humax website.

VideoRedo TV Suite is separate stand alone editing / DVD authoring / burning software which can be bought online via www.videoredo.com .

As I said previously I have a Topfield TF5800PVR but that and the Humax work in very similar was.

Hope that helps.

There is quite a lot about the process in this link.

I use 'freeware' Project X for splitting the file into its audio, video and subtitle components and MuxMan or DVDAuthorGUI for building the DVD files. I have avoided the commercial software as (1) I don't like paying for things unless worthwhile and (2) they don't appear to handle subtitles.
