I have just read that Neil Diamond and Leonard *Wrist Slitting" Cohen are gonne be top of the bill at this years Glastonbury Fest, along with Jay Z & Kings of Leon.

I cannot believe that Mr Cohen & Mr Diamond are still alive let alone performing at a festival, somehow I can't see a mad rush for tickets to see the likes of these 2, but then it could explain the reason why people get high at Glastonbury .

I quite like Kings of Leon although I have no idea why Jay-Z wants to perform there , oh I know.....maybe it'll make people notice that a different act is on the stage.

Neil Diamond is a legend and will be amazing.

Kings of Leon and Jay-Z are pretty piss poor for headline acts though.

Kings Of Leon are nowhere near big enough to headline.

I love the Kings Of Leon, but 8 months ago I saw them at a 2500 capacity venue, hardly big enough to headline Glastonbury.

Jay-Z not worthy of headlining? The guy has sold sold in excess of 100 million records worldwide, I'm surprised he wants to go to Glastonbury.

It's turning into a bit of a cheese-fest, headliner-wise. And it's lost Lost Vagueness...

Too many treat festivals as a trendy badge of honour now imo.

Its all about going to and being seen to go to Glastonbury etc, instead of a love of the music.

Bollocks. It's always been about the whole experience, music included.

Why the hell aren't Led Zeppelin doing it? I thought it was rumoured that they were? Instead it's The Verve on the Sunday. They don't deserve to be headlining.

The key to that being 'worldwide'. His sales in this country aren't impressive at all.

Neil Diamond is doing the slot, previously filled by Shirley Bassey and Neil Diamond, so you know what to expect in that slot. And I believe The Verve are the other headline act, not Leonard Cohen, although he is due to play.

So have Celine Dion and Mariah Carey... hardly Glastonbury material though.

They're just trying to renew the festival, I guess, but Jay Z is a really odd choice for a headliner. Perhaps in the US it'll have been different, I dunno...

Yeah, I think that's the more worrying thing. Not too bothered about Jay-Z headlining as there's bound to be plenty of good things happening all over the place on the Saturday night, but the thought of Lost Vagueness not being there is just strange.

Still, I'll be there as usual, who headlines doesn't matter a great deal, it'll still be Glastonbury and there'll still be about a million things to see and do.
