There is a very strong rumour that this is going to be the method for selecting the UKs entry to this years Eurovision Song Contest in Belgrade. This post was made on a Eurovision website.
I wonder if any fans of the "Josephs" and "Marias" had heard anything about this and what your thoughts are on the concept. Remember it might still be a rumour as it has also been said that Big Brother's Nikki Grahame and Sheilas Wheels were also going to be entering but obviously not in a program of this format.

“There have not been many rumours this year but a friend of mine works for a media company in London and was telling me some info about the uk selection this year. Not sure how true it is but my friend is usually pretty reliable for showbiz news.
Anyway, apparently the show will be on from 6:00pm-7:55pm on 1st March then a results show from 9:35pm-10:00pm hosted by Graham Norton. It is going to be called 'How do you solve a problem like the Eurovision?'. The show will have 4 songs that have been comissioned by the bbc- 3 written by Andrew Loyd Webber and 1 by Gary Barlow. 3 songs are ballads and 1 song is uptempo.
The performers are 3 girls from How do you solve a problem like Maria and 3 boys from Any dream will do.
Each performer will sing a short version of each song as soloists and duets / groups.
There will be an expert panel including Andrew loyd Webber and Gary barlow who will then choose the best performer for each song. The 4 best will then perform the whole song and the public will vote for their favorite. The top 2 will then perform again in a 'super final' in the results show and the winner will be voted on again.
Like I said this could just be a rumour doing the rounds but from what has been said it seems pretty likely. ”

but that doesn't mean that will be how it ends up happening.
I wonder if they're specially written or ones we already know?
