Thriller 25th Aniversary
Got my copy yesterday and I have to say I'm not that impressed with the 2008 versions much. Best of the bunch was Fergie's duet on Beat It and Kanye's remix but the will.i.am and Akon stuff is poor.
Should've just released the original album and a second disc with B-sides (if there were any), rarities and unreleased tracks. |

I actually like the Akon stuff although not a huge fan of Akon generally.

beat it 2008 is an absolute joke though, out of all the rock stars he could have picked to sing with him, he goes for the whiny non-rock Fergie! |

You couldn't have a rock star duet with him, he'd sound even more infeminite. Fergie works well, and they left the Van Halen solo in there which is cool.
Besides, if there was a lot of people jumping at the chance to have a play with these classics, you wouldn't get will.i.am remixing 3 of the 5! Barge pole springs to mind. |

This is at No.4 in the first album chart midweeks. I'm surprised as I didn't think it would go top 10. It's sold out everywhere near us though. Anyone here bought it?

i'm glad that its doing well so far, but the only reason i would buy this would be for the wbss remix and good version of for all time, michael should of performed at the grammys, but he made yet another excuse not to perfom, claiming he was sick, the grammys pulled the thriller tribute because of this...i think the truth is that, he cannot perform to a good level
excuse after excuse, why does he not just tell us that he can't instead of leaving fans heart broken |

We all know the last time he appeared at an awards show what happened, and if he does it again, that's him done for. Same as Britney, she had a go, messed up and knows the next time she does it, it needs to be right.
He might be a legend, but he's no Prince. |
