TV Out on Non S-Video TV
Is there any way to display a colour picture on a non s-video capable TV? I have an ATi Radeon Mobility 7500 graphics chipset in my laptop.. maybe there is 3rd party software that I could use to convert the signal to composite?
Thanks in advance. |

Maplin have a simple passive adapter that may do the trick here.

I have tried an S-Video to scart/composite adapter and still get a black and white picture. I haven't tried an adapter of this kind but I suppose it works in a similar way to the adapters I have tried.. eg. no REAL conversion. Thanks for the suggestion.. I'll find out more info about this adapter

if you are seeing B/w pics then no conversion is taking place as S-Video is simply 2 channels: high detail luminance (B/W) and a colour signal. Simply plugging in the 1st one will give you a loverly b/w picture! A convertor will produce a good composite signal
