are memorable numbers still available by mobile networks in particular o2?

I'd recommend you search eBay, lots of people are selling sim cards with "Gold" numbers. I've seen some very good numbers for £20. Just register the sim card and then request a PAC, get onto your current network and port the number over.

I've heard networks charge alot for these types of numbers.

About 2 years ago I ordered 4 free o2 sim cards and one of the numbers had 000000 (6 zeros in a row). I sold it on eBay for £120.
