Hi,

I have an interrupted dial tone like the sound you get when there is a BT answer message for you.

I have called 1571 a few times and each time it says "you have no new messages".

Does anyone know what could be causing it? It's not a major problem. I don't sit and listen to the dial tone. (Well not that often!) I am just wondering what would cause this.

I have recently moved line rental and calls from BT (because I hate them so much) to Sky.

Thanks,
Ryan.

Ah, someone who cuts their nose off to spite their face.

Well the mysterious tone has gone now. It seems to have disappeared once I actually received a BT answer message then delete it.

I would rather have McDonalds providing my telephone services than BT. As a company they are a disgrace.

If you've handed over your line rental to Sky, how can you have received "a BT answer message"?

In any case, on behalf of your friends and family, can I urge you to DUMP 1571.
