Asda's 'good for you' chilli con carne.

Wow, it tastes just liked it was cooked fresh, there was a pritty awesome serving off it (struggle to finish it) and whats even better, only 455 calories! and provides 2 of your 5 a day

Wow, I didn't know ready meals tasted this nice...

Have you tried the healthy steamed ready meals that ASDA do as well? They are in a small oval container and they steam in the microwave - the instructions tell you not to pierce the cellophane on top.

They are fab and they contain two portions of veg, so you get two of your five a day fruit and veg. My favourite is chicken and mozzarella risotto but they also do sweet chilli chicken noodles, tandoori chicken, honey and mustard chicken linguine amongst others.

asda chicken and rice in tikka sauce is great as well - but the tesco version i had the other day was awful.

you can buy the tikka sauce on its own, so tonight i am having steamed vegetables and rice in that sauce.

I have gone off these lately as they seem to put milk or cream in everything. I don't like that in a meat dish or a curry. I can't be bothered reading all the small print with the ingredients, so now I just assume there will be dairy produce in it and don't buy.

I quite like the Asda go cook range. Some are really nice.

Sorry folks but imho (trained chef) most ready meals are shxxxe, including many of MandS. They used to do Muttar Paneer which was nice, most pasta meals taste synthetic.
