I came across a post the other day where someone was convinced that on a recording the box switched to +1 channal afterwards and recorded the bit mising from the start f the recording, and others doubted it.

Well I cant find that thread despite searching for ages, so just thought I would confirm my box has has just done it to. I started recording a prog from the guide just as it started, then it switch at the end to +1 and recorded 19seconds of the start of the repeat. Pretty cool!

I recall the thread you mentioned. Interesting feature if it's repeatable. I recall the original poster was unable to repeat it. I guess it may be a phenomenon of the Version 2.7 software which has not been reported on much yet.

Interesting indeed. However, wouldn't it make sense to record the whole +1 episode (and then maybe delete the original recording with missing start)? Clashes permitting, of course.
