Claiming broken laptop on house insurance
Long story short, my girlfriend set her laptop on the ground when she went to sleep, forgot about it, stepped out of bed and stood right on top of it. She's turned it on and the screen is all white and blue with 4 big cracks down it.
I've told her to claim it off her house insurance and she's checked her contents policy and it covers accidental damage to computers. Just wonering if she should tell the truth about how it was broken? Will they just take any accidental damage or will they get all arsey and say something like "well it shouldn't be on the floor? I know how they like to suddenly find loopholes when you go to claim. |

yes tell the truth Im in the sae situation right now and I told the truth I broke my laptop by handling it a bit rough and told I did so..If you lie they could find out as you have to go through a bit of an interigation when reporting it, and have to tell them twice what happened...They will still honour the claim
