Archos playing slightly off to the right on LCD?

Hi - have tried the Archos fans forum without any success so thought I'd try here...

I have recently connected my Archos 605 with DVR to my LCD and it works fine, except for playing back video.

When I play back video the movie is slightly to the right on the screen - menus, etc. work fine but movies don't.

Anyone experienced this before and have any suggestions?

A lot of LCD sets have the picture adjustable for separate inputs, you may be able to adjust just that socket to centre it?. So check the TV menus, and see if there's a horizontal shift adjustment.

It's a problem on the Archos, mine does it too - notice when you delete something and it asks for confirmation, the screen goes slightly white - except for the little strip on the left that it isn't covering for some reason.

It only does it when the Archos is set to Widescreen. Set it to 16:9 (weird that this also is widescreen, but it's a different option), and set your (presumably) widescreen TV to zoom, rather than auto or whatever.

Loses a bit of quality though. Apparently there's a firmware update being released soon, hopefully they'll address this issue.
