Cyndi's comments about Amy at Grammys

Just watched a few clips of the Grammy's on Youtube and noticed that Cyndi Lauper really likes Amy Winehouse and her music - she had lots of praise and positive comments about Amy, not only when she was presenting the BestNewcomer Award but also during a behind the scenes interview.

Could we maybe see a Cyndi and Amy collaboration? I think that would be great, particularly as Cyndi has a new album out this year

Gotta love Cyndi. Both Amy and Cyndi certainly fall into the 'kooky' category!

What about what Natalie Cole said about her?

http://www.people.com/people/package...177511,00.html

“I'm going on record as an artist who is able to critique [Amy Winehouse]. I think she has a great talent, but I don't agree with the Grammys giving her those nods. I think it sends the wrong message, that even in the midst of her stupor of drugs she can get nominated for all these awards. It's a slap in the face to musicians and artists who work very hard that they turn around and give it to someone who really obviously doesn't have a grasp of what she has. I've been in this business over 25 years and I sacrificed five years of my own life on drugs and almost lost my life because of it. So I take great offense to almost see someone getting glory out of being in the position that they're in – she needs to get her life together and embrace her craft, she will lose it if she doesn't get it together.”

- Natalie Cole

Or maybe its the jolt she needs to get clean before she wastes her talent?
Not sure.

Couldnt have said it any better myself, Natalie is right, its nice that Amy's talent is getting good recognition and awarded but yeah she was in the midst of a stupor of drugs - but I aso agre with u, i think it could be the kick she needs to kick her habit

I think its ludicrous to not award musicians for their talents if they have drug addictions or personal troubles!

The grammy nominations for all anyone knows could give someone an ego boost they needed to get clean - look at how well amy did!

Some of the best music ever done when the artists were high on drugs, I'm not saying drugs are a good thing but its just a fact.

Maybe if Bands like The Feeling took a few they wouldn't sound so awful.

Is it sour grapes from Natalie do you think? Would love to hear a collaboration between Amy and Cyndi
