Well for the recent cancellation of the tour and with them splitting up again. The reunion seems to have been a total flop. Making me want the Fast Food Rockers reunite again.

RIP girls, You were good again

I don't know how anyone could consider it a flop, it was only meant to be one show initially and they ended up doing loads.

If you look at Take That then yes it was a complete flop in comparison.

Not sure, i wouldn't really say flop, as the tour was successful and it wasn't cancelled because of poor sales i don't think but because the contract's ran out or something. But the single could be called a flop as it wasn't as successful as they wanted...

No, Take That reunited full time (and only in the UK might I add). Spice Girls only got together for a "final tour". Thier tour was not only world wide but was praised by critics. In London alone they performed to 500,000 people in total. Then take in all the other UK and American shows, they have been Mega succesful this time round. The tour has also gone on longer then orginally planned, so in theory as soon as they exceed orginal plans and shows any tour can be considered a success.

The only thing that can be considered a flop was their promotion single "Headlines" which still reached number 11, not nearly as bad as other reunited groups. (All Sainst second single, Atomic Kitten - first names that spring to mind)

i no alot of people dislike the spice girls on this so im not gona go on and on.. but no it hasnt been a flop - if the girls made £10m each its far from it.

The GH has sold around 400,000 copies in the UK and 1,000,000 WW, (if you include the 600,000 Victoria Secrects bought thats 1.6million)

Headlines peaked at #11 and sold around 45,000 copies in the UK, However, it made the top 3 in Italy and Spain and the Phillipines. It also out-peaked Holler in the USA!

The tour has proved a "MAJOR" success, and TT and Girls Aloud never managed to crack America - the SG did - Twice!

I went to one of the London shows and thought it was perfect for a fan of their old stuff. I agree, their single was awful, but the tour itself was amazing, they performed well and the atmosphere was immense. I'm not suprised they argued and split up, but I think all the people who went to tour would say it was a success.

Here we go again.

SG - TT - GA , change the record!!!

Not worth arguing over constantly.

They evidently made enough money - like they weren't pretty well off anyway!

The £10m figure was made up by a journalist, it related to the O2 shows but as was proved elsewhere it was impossible for them to make anything like that amount.

The girls came back, fleeced some people and buggered off again.

Pretty good business in my opinion, to the tune of 10 million each.

It wasnt a total flop , 17 shows in London how would you call that a flop , 3 Dates in Manchester and 2 Legs in America. If the tour was going to carry on it would of took them until April and all 4 of them have Children and all 5 of them have lives away from the Spice Girls.

Headlines didnt reach the Top 10 because it was clearly not promoted , It had one majour UK appearence on Children In Need and thats just 2 days before the single was realised it had no majour Airplay and hitting Top 20 was an achievement and some people had the Greatest Hits Album which included Headlines.

The Tour has sold out the Girls have made millions and now are ready to go back to their lives fair enough ?

The Spice Girls became bigger than their music which was the end of them.

Chart positions aside, their concert was one of most fun nights out I've had in ages, if not ever, and for that alone they were simply amazing

Have a look round the DS Spice Girls threads and you will see umpteen SG v TT v GA debates/arguments.

It's been done to death.
As stated previously, they are all crap and not worth arguing over.

Lighten up and move on.

Girls Aloud have never tried to crack the US so you can't compare.

You can only achieve what you try and achieve. Its like saying I am a complete flop for not winning the Olympic 100 metres. They didn't want to start again. They wanted to do a farewell tour. They have done 4 times the performances they originally were going to do, broken records at the O2 and are filling stadiums, and getting excellent reviews, in the US which few British acts have won over. The tour seems to be ending a month after its original enddate possibly because one or two of the girls prefer being with their children and their new careers but seems to have had the demand to go on for several more months if they had wanted to. Meanwhile the money has come in and the album sales totals have gone up some more. Very few people in the UK music industry are that successful - its a pretty bizarre flop.

There's an obvious reason why. GA are a pretty standard, very British, girls group. They don't have a distinctive enough sound, or the personalities or the message gimick to penetrate the US market which has lots of homegrown product. Its remarkable too how well the SGs can function overseas on stage and in interviews - their US concerts in the big cities look identical in terms of audience reaction to their ones in London or Manchester and they look actually happier in US interviews.

I think there reunion was a success, didn't they net 10 million each??? although not a total success cos they didn't complete the tour!!

Once again, the £10m figure was quoted and proved to be impossible. They may have made money but it wasn't £10m each.
