My Motorola V8 has for some reason stopped connecting to my PC which obviously means I cant back my phone up. Orange have offered to replace the handset but at the moment if they do I lose everything on it.

They used to do a back up facility on your phone where it connected to Orange servers but for some reason dont do this now.

Does anyone know ANY way at all that I can get all my files/photos backed up.

Id rather get the phone replaced sooner rather than later before I end up potentially losing even more

Bluetooth them to your PC if you can, or alternatively another phone.

Ive got ringtones already on my PC. My contacts and texts can get saved to my SIM card so its really photos and videos. I didnt realise I could bluetooth to my PC, is that quite easy to do, that would be perfect then itd all be on my PC ready for my replacement phone

Does the phone have a memory card you could copy your photos to?

I'm not saying argos is the best place to go but you can easily pick up a bluetooth usb dongle for £6.99

Unfortunately not. The phone itself has a fairly big memore and no card... definitely a design fault that

It should be dead easy, I just plug mine into my PC and it installs no problems without CD.

Then you name your PC, and turn Bluetooth on.

Search for the PC from your phone, and then send the files.

Easy!

Glad we could help, despite the bashing going on at the minute, there are some at Orange who genuinely want to help

I've been with Orange for about 10 years and I wouldn't change, I think they're great. Wouldn't touch O2 with a barge pole, their customer service is poorly named!
