1080p 24 advice

I'm looking at a new 42" plasma and I've seem a couple that have full HD native resolutiuon. However, one of them will accept 1080p and one of them will accept 1080p 24. Does anyone have any experience of 1080p 24? I know that films are shot at 24 frames per second, but could you really tell the difference between 1080p and 1080p 24? Is it down to the DVD player to output at 1080p 24, or do the DVDs have to be in that format?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks.

The PS3 outputs 1080P 24

I believe all (most) blueray is 24

It looks very good on my samsung.

Whether you would see a differance though I expect not.

Also be aware that there is a difference between accepting p24 and displaying p24 at a multiple frequency of 24Hz.
It's only me

You should, picture quality wise no but you shouldn't get that judder on panning scenes!
or things passing from one side of the screen to the other.
Goto weby below for a more info regarding why 24 is better for movies/ blu-ray that supports 1080-24

Both.

All HD-DVD/Blu-ray movies are 1080p24 native, but you also need a player that supports 1080p24 output (such as the PS3 as mentioned above).
