That's because they learned to sequester them in a safe house. Unlike our daft BB, they roam the streets, clubs, papers and even the bookies odds and then let them back in.

If you are talking US gameshows, it's more The Newlywed Game which predates MTV by about 30 years.

I didn't see it but I have just looked her up, there is a similarity, when I go to bed I will have to think hard on this Jen problem.

More of a Jade (Eden) man actually...although she's a bit young.

He was totally a one off though and could charm the birds off of the trees.

Not a bad start I would say and it fills the time waiting for our own BB9

Liking - Natalie and Parker

Disliking - Jen, Adam and Ryan

True. But then look at Evel Dick, totally in your face and he won, yeah I know America's Player helped him a fair bit, but he still got far by his own strategy.

And Alison BB4 made the final by lying to everyone too.

So far not one of this BB9 lot seem to be real players, but its only Week 1 so I'll give it time. All the tension and excitement is there which is great, but I also like to see good gameplayers, hopefully people will up their games soon.

I found the whole thing a bit of a struggle really.

I've seen a bit of BBUS before a couple of years ago...and then as now it didn't really blow my hair back.

I think it's a combination of the game-playing format and ultra slick production. The HGs all seem quite false and annoying. The incidental music, the inter-cutting with 'DR' footage, the over-use of close-ups for emphasis etc all tend to suck the drama out of it for me.

Just about watchable but not very involving.

There are elements of BBUSA I love, the game play, the competitions. Then some elements I hate, the production style, corny music.

Then there are elements of BBUK I love, the more basic observational production style, the actual voice of Big Brother and the launch shows etc. Then there are bits I really HATE, like the focus on 'fame', the manipulated production and the booing crowds.

What I would like to see is a good balance, the UK show with the focus put on game play rather than fame, bigger and more competitive tasks but still with same type of basic production. That would be my perfect Big Brother.

Don't agree with Jen and Ryan or Natalie that much either as I haven't seen her much.

Like: Allison (hot, not the only reason though)
Jen (hot, not the only reason)
Ryan
James

Dislike: Adam
Sheila
Matt (just wanna smash his face in)

A telling comment, supports the contention that BBUSA is 'overproduced'.

I found it very disconcerting having no sense of the passage of time, no Marcus-style narrative, the 'Diary Room' is just a series of post mortem 'noddies', and fatally as far as I am concerned, no actual Big Brother (or not so far!)

Weird!
