I found the whole thing a bit of a struggle really.
I've seen a bit of BBUS before a couple of years ago...and then as now it didn't really blow my hair back. I think it's a combination of the game-playing format and ultra slick production. The HGs all seem quite false and annoying. The incidental music, the inter-cutting with 'DR' footage, the over-use of close-ups for emphasis etc all tend to suck the drama out of it for me. Just about watchable but not very involving. Still watching reality TV can be a hard life. |

A telling comment, supports the contention that BBUSA is 'overproduced'.
I found it very disconcerting having no sense of the passage of time, no Marcus-style narrative, the 'Diary Room' is just a series of post mortem 'noddies', and fatally as far as I am concerned, no actual Big Brother (or not so far!) Weird! I LOVE BBUSA, I love the game play and comps and the competitiveness of the housemates. But yeah I hate the production style. That's why I'd love the game play style mixed with our type of production, perfect combo! |

i think of one of the worst things about this show is the awfully acted and scripted 'intro' section when the HM's are given their keys....
other than that i think its great.

Having watched seasons 4, 6, 7 and 8 I thought:
+ It was a bad twist for first-time viewers in the UK, just because it's kind of similar to shows like 'Beauty and the Geek' etc even if the men aren't all brainiacs. For those who hadn't seen BB4, I would have liked this to be a series like 6...although I understand with the writer strikes this twist had to be done. + I think Sheila is kind of attractive Her partner is really weird though.+ Ryan is one lucky guy. I also think Jen is going to be a strong player, but it might just be because she's hot and seems okay with confrontation. + I feel bad for Sharon, I would have liked her to go a bit further in the show. Jacob had no reason to try and stir things so soon. ...Overall though I'm quite looking forward to this season. I'm not sure if I like this pairing idea, but hopefully that twist gets split up mid-season if the writer strike doesn't end. |

I thought the second episode shown last night was a bit rubbish, the whole Parker/Jacob fight and random eviction didn't really represent how the show usually works, plus my word that HOH comp was dire (lovely to see Eric and Jessica though, aww) - all that effort to turn the garden into a lake and it was just a dumb questions and answers/Mr and Mrs rip off!

Is Parker the one who works for TMZ, Apparently someone from their website is supposed to be on the show?

Hi, this is my first time watching BB:US. I enjoyed it but didn't realise until I read one of the previous posts that we didn't hear Big Brother.
I love the house although I'm not sure where the diary room is. The couples idea is good for a twist although I hope our BB doesn't copy that idea. I would prefer if they would copy their voting process. Is it true that the public don't vote on evictions? It would show that C4/Endemol aren't in it just for the money. I've enjoyed the tasks so far. Is there a website that updates like our official BB one? |

The public aren't really involved at all unless its a americas choice type of thing. They play the game themeselves evicting pleople who are up for noms, complicated but you'll catch on easily. the cbs big brother site, which is at cbs.com or jokersupdate which is very uptodate, but be aware as the houseguests have already been in the house before ep1 there will be spoilers( the houseguests evter a few days earlier because BBUSA is only aired 3 times a week over there so it's edited in a process like that and its not live....). |

The DR is the two doors( ones the hallway to the DR and the other is a storage room i think) its beside the sfas though, you'll prob get you see them later though when evicton take place. Oh yeah, the jokers site is very very uup todate as the live feed viewers enter a blog type thing as they wish to see whats currently happening, you'll prob get to see some of it on HL shows later in the week. Although it does cover some time so not everything will be shown.

BB still does say things like 'Will so and so come to the diary room', I heard them calling Josh on the live feed.
And Alex said Big Bro plays music loudly every morning. |

No harm in regging though and posting when you feel the urge. ![]() Registering also allows you to play the weekly game based on what happens on the CBS shows. It's fun. |

I have one problem with the second episode. Why did we have to see that horrible weasel again? Jessica, you can do better.
