there will be vans parked outside random homes listening in in case they are terrorists, propaganda spewing out of the tv, all phone lines will be tapped, internet will be censored. You won't even be able to pick your nose in the street without a camera filming you (woops)

The suicide rate will be the highest it's ever been.

The weather will be exactly the same as it is now (and always has been)

500,000 people will be leaving Not-So-Great Britain every year.

2 million will arrive every day

Chavs will have staged a coup and over-throne the monarchy.

There will be a CCTV camera on every street corner.

Petrol will be £25 a litre.

The Daily Crap's front page headline will be 'WE TOLD YOU SO'

Hopefully North Korea will finally nuke Britain.

I actually think that all emergency services will be trained as paramedics, Police officers and firefighters, enabling them to deal with everything.

The Movie & Record Industry will still be trying to stop pirates.

The Nannystate will limit us on how much we can drink.

The Goverment will Tax us on the carbon footprint from our daily dump in the toliet.

We will have to be totally PC otherwise we will risk being jailed longer than someone who has commited a murder.

There will be a call centre in india for every company in the uk.

There will be someother fake religion in the place of scientology.

We will be limited to how many times we can use our passport, because of the f'ing climate change.

Padeophiles will get guaranteed jobs as teachers, as it would be against their human rights to be refused the work.

The Union Jack will be no more & the pound will also be scrapped as we will be under the control of the sprouts.

The Queen will still be boring us to tears on xmasday with her speech ( she will be put in cryo chambers so she lives each year to give us the dreaded speech).

Bob Geldof will still be bitching bout the crisis in africa.

Microsoft will still have a crummy version of Windows.

Keeping all the above in mind, imagine what Britain will be like in 20yrs - I can sense a real life scenario of Demolition Man happening.

Actually the headline will probably still be about Amy Winehouse

There will be people of all races and religions living together in harmony and tolerance.

Ditto people of any gender or sexuality.

They will have found cures for more cancers and chronic illnesses.

As long as people want it to happen.

This will never happen. History shows that people just don't get along with other people.

It's interesting that the latest post was 2008. In fact the country has slid into a decline the contributor could not have guessed.
Poverty is up. Security at work is a thing of the past. Councils have sacked huge numbers of their blue collar workers. Roads and footpaths are now beyond belief. People are heading into massive debt again and bin collection will soon be every four weeks if you're lucky. Oh yes and we are leaving the EU but will keep paying.

The next 10 years, doesn't look great......
Hard brexit.
U.K. Unsuccessful in beginning new trade deals, economy collapses, we go the same way as Greece did. Scots vote to leave the uk.
To counter this, the gov has to bring in even more savage cuts. So, no new aircraft carriers (or new jets), trident replacement is axed leaving us a non nuclear armed country, no new submarines. Education becomes more privatised with pupils having to supply their own books etc etc, maybe pay a fee to enter a regular state school. The NHS will be semi funded by the individual a bit like the work place pension scheme (topped up by government). The BBC will be cut back to a shadow of its former self (maybe just 2 channels and Internet). Plans to roll out fibre broadband to virtually everywhere will be abandoned.

If Corbyn gets in, we could see a return to the socialist Britain of the 1970s. Railways nationalised, contracted out stuff such as rubbish collection could once again be brought in house, local bus services directly run by your local council. Your council tax will sky rocket. The relationship with the US will be long gone. We will be isolated from the US and Europe, forcing interest rates on gov debt repayment to go thru the roof.

On top of that, U.K. (Or what's left of it) becomes a net importer of oil, forcing up fuel bills.

..........
However, if we manage a sensible middle of the road brexit and manage to do some great new trade deals, which IMHO has to inc the US as the main component, we might, just might be able to pull this trick off and end up doing just fine - or even better than fine. But it won't be easy. So for example, I would expect to see in this outcome a significant reduction in Euro cars on our roads but a sharp uptick in US cars on our roads. Also, stuff like which software we use for digital broadcasting may be US and not pan-european standard. US healthcare firms would provide much of the back end kit and medicines in the event of such a trade deal esp if uk goes down the road of part privatisation of the NHS. Can't see anyway around that tbh.

Better start saving.
