But do they even have a laugh in there though? As long there is some humour, which is intended, then I will be OK.

Me? I watch BBUSA for the game...I don't care about finding out their 'real' personalities or watching them have a laugh so I don't bother with the live feed. |

Again this comes down to how you want to watch the show, if you get the live feed you'll see that of course they have fun...they do normal things, they hang out, they get to know each other - but that isn't what BBUSA is about, it's a game show and the highlight shows reflect that...they cover 90% gameplay and 10% 'reality'.

The key is to give it a chance. I felt the same way last year which was my first full series of BBUS. At the start I was dubious, by the end I was hooked.
The live feed is well worth it too. I spent 3 hours watching it last night. |

What I've also noticed is that, the nature of the game (the alliance making, conspiring etc), encourages much more dialogue. If people are bored they won't go and lay in bed hoping to pass the time, they're more likely to talk about game strategy and game scenarios etc.
Even if people are complete opposites with no common ground, rather than just avoid each other there's always the opportunity for 'game talk' (even if it's BS) which is something everyone has in common. Having the 4 feeds helps even more. |

True. Perhaps I should see in that way too. Our version and this version are different, so I should see them differently in a way. That way I'll enjoy it more.

I do like their American upfrontness..........
'Hi, my name is Chelseeeeeeeya and I'm here to win' Can you imagine the uproar if one of our HMs declared that they were innit to win it !!.............

I love the fact the the presenter is detached and is simply there to move things along...
....and that the housemates just play the game without having to worry about the public... ...and that there need never be a complaint about editing bias...as the edit has no bearing on who will win/lose. futumtch, < Having the 4 feeds helps even more.> Does this mean you can choose, as with early BBs in UK? |

They will probably be interviewed by Julie on Sundays (Tuesday here) show. It wasn't a "proper" eviction night, it was shock. they weren't in their eviction clothes, hadnt packed. Just straight out.
That makes sense. I'm liking this show!

Thank you, I may consider a subscription. It is more expensive than UK BB, it was £15 for full season last year in the summer, a 3 month show; the CBS feed costs about £20 + any currency charges (and sales tax?) plus risk the series may be cut after 6-8 weeks.

There are some sound and vision cuts, it's not completely unedited...they go to the flames quite long periods quite often when they are doing tasks and the like. BUT it is 10000 times better than the UK feed, you can actually follow conversations. I can't remember the last time I was able to follow a conversation on UK feed for more than a few minutes before bird noise, cut away, adverts or the camera skipping off somewhere else.
Conversation?? That sounds so good and old BB. Summer BB 8 involved making noises (twins) and others grumbling but doing nothing about Carole . |
