Samsung HD870 DVD player

I purchased this upscaling HDMI player from amazon a couple of weeks ago. It really is a fine player & great value for money.

However, for some reason it will not play copied DVD-R's (Sony 16X/1X).

I have no problems @ all with the DVD+R discs I have copied.
Why is this??

Check the Samsung Website, there may well be a Firmware Update.
