I tried Delia's recipe for M&S tinned steak and kidney, for one of her pies, it was great, also used bought pastry, I always make my own as a rule. I'd never used tinned meat before either, I'm going to buy her new book.

The one recipe from the book I was going to attempt this weekend I couldn't find a specific ingredient. I wanted to make the Colombian Chicken Coconut Curry and I searched all over town and couldn't find the key ingredient - Seasoned Pioneers Caribbean Poudre de Colombo Spice Blend ------ and I have no idea what I could use as a substitute so I'm just going to have to make a different curry with the ingredients I've bought.

No, I never trust a cook that I've never seen taste her own cooking.

Mind you, I don't buy cookery books full stop but if I did hers would never be on my list
