Yep looks like a really high standard this year...let's hope so. I remember the top 12 guys night last year was really disappointing and if memory serves me right the top 12 girls night wasn't much better.

I still have to really think before I remember who actually won last year and can hardly remember any of the competitors whereas I still have vivid memories of other seasons.

Hope there are a few in there that will surprise us, though. I like to have a few favourites

I think the best male singer is Micheal Johns - the aussie one and the female i like best is Brooke White. I think Carly is a good singer but just dont take to her personality. I do think Josiah deserved to be in the final 12 cos there was something interesting about him and he had a better voice than some of the ones chosen. Same with Kyle, he should definately have been put through and Im sure Simon has a strong enough personality to force that decision if he really believed in him as much as he said he did. Some of the ones put through do not deserve to be there and are just there as cannon fodder i.e Colton and Garrett.

It's a bit of a double edged sword with Simon isn't it? I didn't get why he walked out on Kyle's performance earlier and then had a complete turn around. Also not nice for Kyle to know he was so close even though he took it well, and not nice for Colton to go into the live shows knowing that Simon didn't want him there.

I didn't think it was Colton he was talking about i thought it was another guy that he said it wasn't unnanimous too. I thought he made that clear to Colton.

But yeah hard to know you were so close - yet so far.

Same here, the talent level has been so high this year.....most of the final 50 that were rejected would walk the X Factor

I can see your argument there. The PTB probably thought the media coverage of the show last year was unbalanced in favour of Sanjaya who never had a chance of winning

Also, yep, two girls and two guys will be eliminated for the next 3 weeks. This week, the theme is 60s music. Usually they dont have themes until the final 12, but they decided to have it this year in the final 24.

My favourites at this point are Kady Malloy and David Archuletta

Either Daniel Noriega or Garrett Haley I would think. I know Vote for the worst currently have these 2 as the ones that will annoy the audience the most so they will be voting to keep them in.
