I've been looking into getting a package including TTV for a few days now. On two occasions, I have been told by the Tiscali sales people that my line can perform up to 3.5mb/s and that this will be fine for the TV service to run.

However, I've read in another forum thread that Tiscali have advised someone else that TTV requires a line than is capable of 4.5mb/s or more. I read this after placing my order, so am potentially looking forward to an engineer coming out, only to inform me that I can't get the TTV service.

What have other people's experiences been?

AFAIK the Tv service requires 3.5mb/s whatever is left will be for your internet connection.

I guess I'll just have to see what the engineer's diagnosis is when he gets here. In the meantime, I'll try to limit my expectations.
